Jackson, acquired from Oakland at the August 31 deadline, suffered an apparent arm injury when crashing into the low padded wall in right-center field while trying to track down an Ian Kinsler hit in the third inning. Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox activated third baseman Kevin Youkilis from the 15-day disabled list Friday. He was on the DL since August 18 with a low back strain that had been plaguing him for several days prior. He went 2-for-8 in two rehabilitation games with Triple-A Pawtucket. The 32-year-old is batting .266 with 17 homers and 78 RBI over 110 games this season. Boston's active roster stands at 28 with the activation of Youkilis.
